    A number of USB memory sticks have been detected, connecting to college machines, that have virus problems. College systems have fully up to date anti virus software, so these virus problems are coming from home computers.

    You must make sure your home computers have fully up to date anti virus software - if you don't then at some point you WILL lose work and you could lose EVERYTHING on the home computer.
